We work hard to make our campers feel secure by tucking them in with extra care while they are away from home. This year we would again like to present each of our campers with -two new books- of their own to read during their stay and take home with them as a keepsake. Helping NORTH SHORE HOLIDAY HOUSE to meet the goal of purchasing the 400 books for Summer 2020 is a local community challenge, we thought you'd like to be a part of it on Giving Tuesday. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Our Mission Statement: To provide a tuition free summer sleep away camp to enrich the lives of low-income girls and empower them to navigate the world ahead.
During their stay with us, each of our girls will receive a gift of two new books, a new beach towel and a stuffed animal on their bunks at bedtime. These gifts are just some of the many small things we do to celebrate them during their time with us.
NSHH girl's sleep away camp is the only one of it's kind on Long Island. We provide a cost-free two week experience for young girls ages 7-11 years old whose families live at or below the poverty level on Long Island, as established by the USDA free and reduce lunch guidelines. We have served thousands of low income youth over the 103 years we have been in operation.
